Mar 30, 2011 I may put a Neo10 in the Princeton as well since I like the clarity of the Neo 12. This is by no means scientific-just for my reference-but i thought you might be interested as well. Four clips with the same guitar loop (EH 2880 looper): 1. Princeton Reverb Reissue - C10R 2. Princeton Reverb Reissue - P12N 3. Deluxe Reverb (blackfaced) - P12N 4.
Fender Princéton Reverb - Several audio speakers in all their different reissued models
l recently posted looking for amp suggestions. I've ended up searching at boutique little amps for home use. I've dropped in love with the Cárr Skylark. I desire to attempt a Color Ruler SkyKing although l liked the Cárr better than additional Tone Full's. I'deb also including to ultimately try a Milkman. AIl of those are 2-3k. I've recognized I'm not almost suitable of that degree of an amp.however.
In the meantime, I've also fallen in love with the Fénder Princeton Reverb ánd feel that would become a great amp for my home and isn'capital t too loud and the several I've played sounded incredible. I've likened to Vox, and a several others of similar size and wattage and I simply like the Fender tones and it meets my requirements. I'll upgrade or include a shop down the street if I get good good enough and can spare the money afterwards. Something to work towards.
Therefore, in my research, I discover there are usually an crazy amount of versions of the PR. All are usually either 10” or 12” and the loudspeaker is different in therefore many models. They also range from 12-15 watts.
The regular 65 blackface RI is definitely 10” with a Jensen G10R
The 68 is definitely a custom made and I've read is more related to a Bassman and not a real silverface or a PR. Still seemed amazing and has been a little darkér to mé, which I Iiked. It offers a 10” Celestion Ten 30.
There's a tweed with a 12” Eminence Cannabis Rex, a gentle azure with whole wheat Grille with a Celestion H10 Money. Another that's wines/purple with á 12” Jensen P12Q. Others possess Celestion Glowing blue, Celestion Greenback, and I'm sure more.
They all appear excellent. I've only played the standard 65 BF and the 68 Custom. I'meters leaning 68, but I actually like the look of the tweed and furthermore may need a 12” speaker structured on some discussion board posts I've examine.
I'michael not encountered enough to possibly notice much difference. Should I cease over considering it and obtain the 1 I like the looks of? Should I really think about one over another? I know so very much is very subjective, but they are usually all within $100-200 of each other and it'beds still a large purchase.
My interest varies from blues to Pink Floyd and more classic rock things. I'll be playing through pedals if I would like OD and some other shades, but will possibly more often just appreciate a great clean audio with some réverb and/or vibrató.
Any extra understanding would end up being appreciated. I haven't found much comparing the versions beyond the standard 65 and 68 models. I put on't observe myself enjoying anything beyond thosé two but l'michael inclined toward the 68 credited to sound and tweed ór the Bordeaux violet based on appearance.
Thanks. This analysis is about half the fun.
